Day 131 - Safety First/Selina

Had I been smart, I would have taken the camera to work today with me.  But...my brain isn't functioning that quickly that early in the morning.  After dinner, I asked Morgan to get his bike helmet out for me so I could take a picture of that, but he has been helping Jeff and is learning to cut wood with some tool (I'm such a girl!) and he has been great about wearing his safety gear.  Morgan chose to do this instead of my original thought and I couldn't resist Morgan's goofy face with his Safety First gear on.  Silly boy but I love him!

Day 129 - Starts with "L"/Selina

Hmmm...starts with "L".  Well there are plenty of leaves on the lawn from the neighbor's tree so here's my shot of my leaping child on the lawn with falling leaves.  :)  Cheesy, I know, but still fun.

Day 111 - Impact/Selina

This theme should have been a few days ago when we had the car accident!  That's OK - as a last minute thought, I remembered that Morgan's church camp was themed "Impact" and he had a shirt with this theme on it.  So, while I couldn't think of any"thing" that impacted, I loved his shirt and the impact God has on us.

Day 71 - Eyes/Selina

My children have the prettiest eyes and I can sometimes capture that in pictures with them, but I wasn't having as much success as I would have liked.  Morgan, with his beautiful long lashes, is going to cause me a world of problems with the girls.  Victoria, with her gorgeous blue eyes is also going to be handful with the boys.  I even tried a picture of Morgan's and my eyes together, but it was out of focus, unfortunately.  So, here's the best of the shots I could come up with.  Oy...the trouble I will have.

Day 63 - Mouth-Dental/Selina

This was not a fun one for me.  I couldn't get the lighting right, but you know if I remembered before 9:00 that I had a project to do, it might be easier for me when I have better lighting.  Oh well, this was the best mouth shot I could get; too bad I wasn't as smart as Heather and just took a picture of the toothbrushes, etc!  This does show that Morgan is finally getting all his teeth in from his most recent dental work (had 9 teeth pulled in December and a spacer put in; the spacer is out and teeth or looking good so far).

Day 51 - Luggage/Selina

The original thought for this theme involved Morgan actually making it until the end of camp.  The kids all have piles of luggage waiting for their parents to pick it up.  But, Morgan came home early, sick, so we had no pile of luggage.  Here's what I shot at the last minute Friday night as I had forgotten about it all day long.

Day 48 - Seam/Selina

Well, I really wanted take a picture of something Victoria had sewn, but I was in a seminar from 7:45 until 4:30; then I got a call from Morgan's camp nurse and he needed to come home because he had a fever, so I left town at 5:00 to get him getting home back home about 7:30.  Fed us all some dinner and started pumping the liquids into Morgan (pretty sure he has heat exhaustion) only to get a call that I need to help a friend complete her move last night.  So Jeff and I ran back out by 8:00 to help with that, getting back home about 9:30.  Crazy!  So, needless to say, I had a few other things on my mind and snapped the quickest picture I could.  It's not good, but it will have to do.  It's a pictures of the seam on the throw pillow for the couch.

Day 33 - Power/Selina

I wasn't feeling well today, so I never ventured very far from the house.  I really wanted to head down to Riverfront Park and take a picture of the river, but I was really too tired.  So, I thought about several things and then glanced out the window and saw Morgan playing baseball with the little boy across the street.  I talked them into walking down to the field with me and tried to get a good shot. Here's what I ended up with.  I love how you see all the muscles and veins and Morgan's arm - such power behind that swing!

Day 23 - Music/Selina

The kids have been at a Music Drama Day Camp through the church all week.  They have been having a great time, even earning a small part in the script.  It's been a busy week for them that concluded with a drama this evening.  They were both awesome and said their parts very clearly.

My original thought with today being the drama was that I would be able to capture a great picture of them singing, but that didn't happen quite the way I hoped, so I used my fall back plan of Morgan and his viola.  He LOVES this viola and is great at playing it, so he was happy to help me with this challenge.

Day 19 - Looking Up/Selina

Today's theme is Looking Up. I wanted to go outside and lay on the grass for the pictures and try to get a good shot up a tree, but the bass wood tree in the front yard is too full to really see anything and the maple tree is too skimpy and there's only dirt under it (and yuck! who wants to lay in the dirt?). So, the kids volunteered to model and climb the maple tree. Here's my Looking Up shot.

Day 13 - Shadowy Silhouettes/Selina

Today's challenge was going to prove difficult because it was cloudy when I got home from work.  Luckily, the sun came out after dinner and I was able to go play some.  I interpreted the silhouette side a bit more than shadows and did some research.  Here's what I came up with.  I love how you can see Morgan's eyelashes.
