Day 106 - Half/Selina

I know we have already had moon as our theme, but last night I noticed that the moon would be really close to half and sure enough it was.  I was really happy with this shot.

Day 87: Moon/Heather

We tried for moon during last month's full moon phase but the weather here was not cooperative. So we decided to try again this month. I got some great shots last night and some really horrible shots tonight. Basically, I have a lot of shots of white spheres with a black background. Some of the shots I took when the clouds rolled in are kind of cool, however. Selina texted me some settings to try and while I lost the clouds, those settings gave definition to the moon. Thanks Selina!!

Day 87 - Moon/Selina

I took some great shots using the same settings that I offered to Heather, but this one was unique.  From the angle that I was at, there's a tree in my way.  I really wanted to show the leaves covering the moon, but it was difficult to do.  I had to switch the camera to manual mode and focus in on the leaves, unfortunately what that did was make the moon a bright light and didn't show the different shades of the moon.  But it's a unique shot, so here's the one I used.
