Day 59 - Blackberries/Selina

Victoria and I headed out early this afternoon to pick some blackberries.  When Jeff and I came back from Seattle this past week, I picked up a box of nectarines that I wanted to make jam out of and I thought it sounded really good to do one batch of nectarine-blackberry.  That's my job tomorrow, but today we had to pick them.  I got some great shots and loved this one because it showed so many different shades of the blackberries as they ripen.  Can't wait to try the jam!

Day 59: Blackberries/Heather

This morning I attended the annual Swan Island Dahlia Festival in Canby. They feature a bazillion different varieties and while I have always heard about this, this was the first time I have gone. I took 474 pictures. On my way home, I stopped by Mt. Tabor Park where one of my Meetup groups was playing Capture the Flag so I could take pictures of them. After a while, I noticed my battery was getting low. Luckily for me, there were some wild blackberries at the park. (Not so lucky for the players who kept running into them trying to get to one of the flags!)
